I tried and tested Aldi's new festive chocolate treats - the Marshmallow Brownie Bombs are divine...

WHEN it comes to Christmas, there are so many chocolate treats to choose from.

And it can be hard to know what's worth splashing out on.

But one food reviewer has insisted two things that are definitely worth getting for the festive season are Aldi's new offerings.

He took to TikTok to share a video rating the treats, kicking off with the Marshmallow Brownie Bombs.

"Let me tell you, these things are divine," he said.

"The creamy chocolate outer coat keeps the brownie super moist, and it's a rich, dense brownie.

"So, so good."

He gave them a 9.5 out of 10, before discussing the price - £1.99 for six.

"I know a lot of people will say that steep, but one of these in Starbucks with a stick in it will set you back about £2.60 each," he added.

"So in comparison, it's not bad value."

Next he tried the Cookie Dough Mini Bites.

"Half brownie, half cookie dough, covered in good quality chocolate," he said.

"These absolutely banged as well.

"Very indulgent and really impressed with the quality of the cookie dough inside."

He said that while he "really enjoyed" them, they didn't quite match the brownie bombs, so he gave them a "solid 9 out of 10".

"I think these are both well worthwhile," he concluded.

"If you love your brownies, your cookie dough, sweet treats, that kind of thing, these are gonna be right up your street.

"So go on, treat yourself, don't cheat yourself."

People were quick to comment on the video, with many insisting they were going to head to their local Aldi search of the treats.

"I need both of them!" one wrote.

"Omggg my kinda treats, can't wait to try these," someone else said.

To which the man replied: "Honestly so good.

"Thought they would be a let down but they are so yummy!"

"Was waiting for this - I am going now," a third laughed.

"I’m going to buy them bombs, dip em in white chocolate, stick a sugar holly on and tell the kids I made them myself - perfect crime," someone else wrote.

"Omg the brownie bombs are back," another gushed.

"They used to be in the tubs, you'd get a lot more as well," someone else said.

To which the reviewer responded: "These are way better quality to the ones that used to be in tubs".

"Soooo good," another praised.

"Dessert tonight?" someone else asked, tagging their mate.

Others questioned why on earth they were called "marshmallow brownie bombs" when they didn't appear to have any marshmallow in them.

"Why are there no marshmallows in the brownie?" one asked.

With the reviewer replying: "I was thinking what is marshmallow about it too!"

"The old ones in the tub never had any in either!" someone else weighed in.

"Even though they said they did and were in the picture!

"It’s baffling!"
