Taylor Swift's Super Bowl Shoe Detail Sends Internet Into Meltdown
It seems people can't get enough of Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl, with some even noticing the details on her shoes.
People clocked that Swift had a bedazzled 87 on each of her black boots, the number worn by her tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce, who was a winner in Sunday's big game as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
"she has an 87 on her boots," wrote one fan on X, formerly Twitter.
Swift, who has been attending Kelce's Chiefs games since September also wore a necklace and pendant with his number. Kelce's number also appeared on her personalized handbag. She often wears bespoke Chiefs merchandise and the team's colors when going to the NFL games.
"Our girl is in LOVE," one X user wrote.
Another added: "WHAT DO U MEAN SHE HAS THE 87 ON HER BOOTS UGHHHH I AM GOING TO DIEEE AHHHHH."
And a third poked fun at Swift's lucky number: "Bet she had 13 '87's' on her somehow."
Even CBS got in on the Swift and Kelce action, by highlighting how many times the number 13, which is the pop star's lucky number, correlated with Sunday's Super Bowl.
The game was broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ where a graphic relating the number 13 to the NFL was shown onscreen.
Some of the stats included the fact it was the 58th Super Bowl and if you add 5 + 8 you get 13. The game was played on February 11, so adding the month, two, plus the date, 11, equals 13.
The Chiefs played against the 49ers, so 4 + 9 is 13, and the halftime score was 10 to 3 in favor of the 49ers, which also equals 13. The Chiefs have won 13 games this season, with Kelce playing and plays on the game-winning drive were 13.
Swift reminded everyone about her lucky number during an acceptance speech at the Grammys on February 4.
"Okay this is my 13th Grammy. Which is my lucky number...if I've ever told you that," she said during her speech for Best Pop Vocal Album.
"I know that the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion from the fans. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years.
"Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19, it's called The Tortured Poets Department, I'm going to go and post the cover right now backstage, thank you, I love you."
