Hall redshirted his first year at BYU after appearing in two games. He appeared in seven games and made two starts as Zach Wilson’s backup.
He became BYU’s first black quarterback to start a game when he replaced Wilson against South Florida. He completed 31 of 46 throws for 420 yards and one score on the season.
Hall got a medical redshirt in 2020 before taking over as starting in 2021. He completed 189 of 296 passes for 2,583 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five picks. He also played baseball for BYU in 2019 and 2020.
The Minnesota Vikings selected Hall in the fifth round, 164th overall, of the 2023 NFL Draft.
He made his regular-season debut in Week 8 after Vikings starting quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles tendon.
Hall made his NFL debut on November 5, 2023, but was forced to leave due to a concussion. Hall replaced Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullens after clearing concussion protocol.
He made his debut against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17. Hall was benched at halftime after completing five of ten passes for 67 yards, an interception, and a fumble.
