Had enough of post-shave fake tan dots? Try this clever trick to get rid of them

IF you're a fake tan fan, you'll know how difficult it is to maintain a perfect all-over glow.

From streaky legs to orange elbows, there are a whole lot of things that can go wrong.

But now we've found the remedy for one of these disasters - and it's actually really simple.

Most of us shave before tanning, as it makes application easier and helps to create a smooth finish.

However, once our colour has developed, we can sometimes be left with pretty unsightly dots.

This is because shaving in a hot shower or bath opens our pores. The tan then seeps into them, eventually drying in tiny spots.

Luckily, you only need to pop to Tesco to sort the problem out. Because this hack involves... frozen peas.

Tanning expert James Read has revealed that before tanning, you should rub a packet of peas over your legs.

He tells Byrdie.co.uk: "This will seal the pores in your legs, so you don't end up with those annoying dots after self-tanning."

Veg really is good for us, isn't it?

Let's just hope nobody walks in on us halfway through...
