Fatal crash in Lake Forest shuts down El Toro Road for hours
A single-vehicle collision Tuesday on El Toro Road near Summerwood Way killed one person and left another hospitalized, officials said.
The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. and El Toro was shut down in both directions from Normandale Drive to Summerwood for several hours while Orange County Sheriff’s deputies investigated the incident. The closure was expected to last until 10 p.m.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation and information on the condition of the second person in the vehicle was not immediately available.
