Fast-food menus are constantly changing, and while many delicious food chains have blasted out some delicious meals, others have axed a few fan-favorite dishes. 

Just like fashion, the fast-food industry moves fast, and sometimes that means that some beloved dishes may be on the chopping block. 

Restaurants also often cut their serving list in half when attempting to cut costs. 

Recently, beloved food giant McDonald's temporarily shut down all of its U.S. offices in preparation to share layoff messages with employees across across the country. 

After the fast-food giant hinted they would be taking a closer look at the menu items it can do without, FEMAIL has laid bare the other instances foodies were sent into a state of despair when they were no longer able to order their favorite meal.

Customers were furious with the switch, with many of them begging the chicken joint to 'bring back wedges.'

And while many people viewed the sandwich as a healthier alternative, it didn't receive raving reviews from customers, causing the fast food giant to wipe it from the menu.

The grilled chicken sandwich was said to have a 'burnt rubber' consistency by customers. 

The sandwich was slashed out the menu in during the pandemic, along with the other items. 

During a virtual conference, CEO Chris Kempczinski said: 'We will certainly add things back to the menu. Whether it goes all the way back to where we were pre-COVID, I think that's probably unlikely.

It also axed the Maple Bacon Scrambled Egg Wrap, and the Cheese Brittany.

There is even a Facebook page titled Bring Back The Triple Decker Pizza Hut that has over 2,000 followers and pays homage to the pie.

The healthier options weren't a go-to meal for customers, so the restaurant opted to remove them entirely. 

In a statement to Business Insider, Bill Garrett, McDonald's senior vice president of operations, said: 'To simplify operations in our kitchens and for our crew, and ensure the best possible experience for our customers, we are working with our franchisees and local restaurants to focus on serving our most popular choices and will begin temporarily removing some items from the menu.' 

McDonald's never brought any salads back and seems to be focusing on their more-favored products.
