Tyler rose to prominence for portraying the role of Andrea on Ghost Whisperer. Her career officially kicked off in 2001. She began by hosting the Talk Soup and the reality-dating series titled The Fifth Wheel. Later on, Aisha decided to devote a significant amount of time to independent projects. One included a role in the play Moose Mating for which she received an NAACP Image Award. She later wrote, directed and starred in an independent short called The Whisperer.
